TOGETHER

If only I could extend the usual wishes for a good fall season …

This last quarter, more than ever, we must be winners.

As a collective, we owe it to ourselves to stay combative, on our toes, and on the offensive. Important challenges are ahead and you can be sure that all the Fédération Française du Prêt à Porter Féminin experts will be at your side to help you create new, customized business models that are agile and responsible. These models will be built with the priorities of new manufacturing and sales methods, extending product life spans, and meeting consumer expectations for increasingly responsible fashion.

The Fédération Française du Prêt à Porter Féminin continues with unwavering determination to communicate your demands to the government and argue in favour of those that are still being discussed.

The fall’s collective energy is also evident in the bond shown by the brands in our Talents program third group – a connection that’s evident throughout the year. So we are extremely delighted to invite you to discover their universes in an exclusive pop-up store opening 22 September at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann.

This surge of creativity during the crisis is also seen in the first steps of this year’s fourth Talents group which includes Patine, Loom, Hanane Hotait, and Capuches à Mémé, all showing promise of wonderful development.

There’s no lack of initiatives to mobilise fashion entrepreneurs nor of good ideas. This is made clear in the new issue of the “Fédération” magazine dedicated to young designers and produced with support from DEFI.

Beginning 25 September, “Fédération” will be available for VIP buyers at professional trade shows as well as in selected boutiques. The magazine reports on the experiences of the new wave of French designers and shares in-depth coverage of the best support programs. The 2020 edition also includes interviews with several key influencers who talk about their many projects and their constant inspiration despite these unsettled times.

It’s one more proof, as if we needed one, of our sector’s incredible energy and ingenuity.

We can be proud of ourselves. Let’s stay determined as we kick off the fall season!

Collectively yours,

Pierre-François Le Louet
