New Talents Program Promotion 2020

Talents is an acceleration program for French fashion brands.
Over the course of a year, it provides support for five chosen brands via a team of coaches and experts.

Beginning September 2019 six selected brands will receive support from a team of experts.

The program also includes two group formats – master classes and communities – to reinforce ties and peer support between brands.
Throughout the year the brands will be in contact with a monitoring committee made up of leading industry professionals who will track their development and encourage their progress in dealing with challenges.

The Talents program, created and coordinated by the Fédération Française du Prêt à Porter Féminin, receives support from DEFI.

The Business Coaches, a two-person team, are the program’s core advisors. One has experience as a general manager, the second as a financial director.

The duo’s objective is to help brands structure their activity in the following areas:

The Expert Coaches interact with brands to help them work on the specific challenges which have been identified.

The backup they provide involves expertise and operational solutions. Meetings with the Expert Coaches are scheduled in line with need and priority:



For over 30 years Anne-Laure Bourout-Oval has worked in the textile and fashion industry. After initial studies in business management, her first work experiences introduced her to the challenges of retail at Burton and to tracking investments at Takashimaya France, a Japanese department store subsidiary. She went on to become Financial Manager for the French subsidiary of Italian designer Romeo Gigli.

Inspired by her enthusiasm for travel and the entrepreneurial world, she next set up and supervised ateliers and oversaw the production of finished products and embroidery in India, Madagascar, and Turkey for French and Italian luxury houses.

After launching a creative, eco-friendly household linens brand in 2001, she held management positions for brands Dice Kayek, Barbara Rihl, and Jérôme Dreyfuss.

In 2011 Anne-Laure decided to set up her consulting firm @lbo management.

For the past eight years she has helped fashion and interior design brands such as Gaspard Yurkievich, la Prestic Ouiston, Bouchra Jarrar, Officine Generale, Jamini, Hugo Matha, Sarah Lavoine, and Yin Yiqing. Her client portfolio also includes other sectors such as music, new technologies, and communication.


Bérengère Lehembre is a 32-year-old entrepreneur. Since she was a schoolgirl, she knew she wanted to have a positive impact on the world, create long term employment for others, and live her life with passion.

In 2011 she decided to launch Ysé Paris, the first lingerie and swimwear brand to take a natural approach to flattering figures with on-trend designs, without padding, and at the right price. The brand revolutionised the industry – first by focusing on A and B cups and next by expressing  a modern femininity where being happy with oneself, no matter what body type, is the source of authentic beauty, of true beauty. The brand is now winning over an ever-growing number of women, adding larger cup sizes to the ranges, and opening three points of sales which are places to connect and a complement to the e-shop.

With Ysé on a rapid-growth track, Bérengère decided to leave her operational duties. She handed over the next stage of growth to her partner and team while staying involved as a member of the strategic committee. She went on to gain experience as a coach for startups in a corporate incubator on the other side of the world (the new mobility trend), sharing her experience in design, management, and startup development before leaving on a world tour of several months!

Since her return, Bérengère has advised brand and startup managers about growth tools: brand identity, digital marketing, strategic concepts, and financial management. She primarily helps young brands in the fashion and cosmetic industries, but also startups in a wide range of sectors such as tech, biotech, and the social economy. Additionally she gives support to innovation programs created by large groups.


Talents is backed up by a committee of industry professionals whose role is to track the development of the program’s five businesses.

The committee members, with their diverse and complementary viewpoints, draw upon their experience and networks to give brands the best possible advice and direction.

The Committee meets three times a year.
